Summary
Unproductive euphoria is characterized by a motiveless feeling of happiness appearing to originate in a bodily level of feeling. Only a few ideas associated with the euphoria appear, and they have no great importance for the patient. ln keeping with their happy contentment, the patients show little compulsive activity. Occasionally they attempt to put their ideas of happiness into practice but even then, are not under pressure.
